Questionaire: Les Lignes Mobiles 1.
With what kind of Intention the real public urban space was chosen
as place for the project? Are everybody's accessibility all day
or public sphere… an important issue for the project? Les
Lignes Mobiles is a project designed to insert itself in a public
space. It has to surprise the passers-by. For the exhibition in
the Nuits Savoureuses, I chose the location according to this criteria
(public space with a natural dynamic) and according to technical
criteria (width of projection space, location of the 2.
Shall the project make a special contribution for a new "better"
public space? And what importance in that context has the use of
new media? The reflection was not about public space in itself, but about free will, especially for people either wandering around, or going some place. It was a matter of asking "why are you moving?". So it is not about a 'better' public space, but about a more self-conscious one.
3. What problems and special challenge occurred due
to realize the project in the public space? Technical problems were big (huge videoprojector to attach upside-down, lighting delicate to tune, security). |
