4. What meaning has the interactivity for the project? What shall the Interaction produce, cause?

Public engagement - but more importantly, a public contribution to the artistic outcome. The work is not *reactive* to the public but interactive. The work itself is a canvas or platform for public contribution and is transformed through interaction. The result of interaction is a collection of public thought and _expression. The work also creates a kind of dialogue with the past - where a person's speech is used to recall previous contributions on the basis of its sonic qualities (phrasing, inflection, roughness, pitch, modulation etc.

5. What strategies and methods are applied to catch attention and stimulate participation in the interaction?

Audio playback triggered by proximity sensors can be used to attract attention of passers-by. Signs can also be used to instruct individuals. In one recent incarnation of the work (a planned incarnation) - a question was to be asked - inscribed on a plaque. The question was to be site specific - or would prompt site-specific responses. For example in an alleyway installation in downtown Melbourne - the question could be: "How have drugs impacted on your life?" - or alternatively "How do feel about this alleyway?"
